Procurement Coordinator

About the role

The Procurement Coordinator will manage the end‑to‑end purchase order process and source critical raw materials for coil, heat‑pipe, UV‑lamp and duct‑heater manufacturing. The role ensures timely delivery, cost optimisation and compliance with UAE import regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, generate and issue Purchase Orders (POs) in the ERP system, verifying part numbers, specifications, payment terms, Incoterms and delivery schedules.
• Source raw materials by reviewing engineering drawings, Bills of Materials and technical specifications.
• Evaluate, audit and negotiate with global mills, local suppliers and manufacturers across India, China, Europe, USA and GCC.
• Prepare RFQs, conduct technical and commercial bid evaluations, and negotiate contracts to achieve cost‑reduction targets while maintaining AHRI/ISO quality standards.
• Track global commodity market trends (e.g., LME copper/aluminum pricing) to optimise buying windows.
• Coordinate sea/air freight imports, working with logistics providers, freight forwarders and customs brokers to ensure compliance with UAE import regulations, certificates of origin and GCC trade documentation.
• Collaborate with Production, QA/QC and Inventory teams to prevent stock‑outs, manage safety stock and handle Non‑Conformance Reports.
• Prepare and update job cards, maintain Excel databases, and circulate PO copies to Stores and finance teams.

Required profile

• Experience in procurement and material sourcing for manufacturing of coils, heat‑pipes, UV‑lamps or duct‑heaters.
• Familiarity with engineering drawings, Bills of Materials and technical specifications.
• Proven ability to negotiate with international suppliers and manage import documentation.
• Strong coordination skills with production, quality and inventory functions.

• ERP system usage for PO creation.
• RFQ preparation and bid evaluation.
• Negotiation and value‑engineering techniques.
• Commodity market analysis (LME copper/aluminum).
• Knowledge of UAE import regulations, certificates of origin and customs duties.
• Advanced Excel for data management.
