Procurement Engineer EPC/Construction (Waste-to-Energy/Energy)

About the role

Join an international engineering team supporting a major waste‑to‑energy facility in Sharjah. The Procurement Engineer will lead procurement activities across EPC, construction, installation, commissioning, operations and maintenance phases, ensuring the right goods and services are sourced on time and within budget.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end procurement of goods, materials, equipment and services for project, construction, commissioning and operational activities.
• Source a wide range of items including consumables, chemicals, spare parts, PPE, machinery, tools, construction materials and technical equipment.
• Procure services such as manpower supply, maintenance contracts, plant and equipment rental, and subcontracted works.
• Oversee procurement related to EPC contracts, construction packages, installation works and commissioning requirements.
• Supervise Procurement Officers and monitor daily procurement activities.
• Track procurement performance, prepare KPI reports and continuously improve purchase requisitions and RFQ packages.
• Identify and pre‑qualify suppliers and subcontractors through the approved vendor evaluation process.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years (96 months) of experience in EPC and construction procurement.
• Proven ability to manage complex supply chains and coordinate with service providers, subcontractors, logistics and operations teams.
• Strong understanding of contractual compliance, cost optimisation and supplier management.
