Procurement Engineer (Industrial & Infrastructure Projects)

About the role

A Procurement Engineer is sought for industrial and infrastructure projects in Abu Dhabi. The role covers sourcing materials and equipment, coordinating with suppliers, managing purchase orders and ensuring timely delivery while keeping costs efficient and quality standards met. Experience in water projects is an advantage.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end procurement for industrial and infrastructure projects
• Identify, evaluate and negotiate with suppliers for competitive prices and favourable terms
• Prepare and process purchase requests, quotations, purchase orders and related documentation
• Coordinate with project, engineering and logistics teams so materials meet specifications and delivery schedules
• Monitor supplier performance, delivery timelines and material availability
• Ensure compliance with UAE import regulations, customs procedures and documentation requirements
• Maintain accurate procurement records and supplier databases
• Follow up on shipments, customs clearance and deliveries
• Support cost optimisation and maintain effective supplier relationships

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
• 3-5 years of procurement experience, preferably in industrial and infrastructure projects
• Experience in water-related projects is an added advantage
• Good command of written and spoken English
• Knowledge of UAE import regulations, customs procedures and import documentation
• Strong negotiation, communication, coordination and organisational skills
• Ability to manage several procurement activities and meet project deadlines
