Procurement Executive – Construction

About the role

The Procurement Executive will lead the sourcing and purchasing activities for construction projects, ensuring that materials and services are obtained on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. Working closely with site teams, inventory managers and suppliers, the role is pivotal in maintaining smooth project execution.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and assess material requirements in coordination with site teams, defining quantities, specifications and timelines.
• Source, evaluate and shortlist suppliers, issue RFQs and compare quotations based on price, quality and delivery capability.
• Negotiate prices, payment terms, delivery schedules and contractual agreements with selected vendors.
• Prepare purchase orders (LPOs), upload them into the procurement system and monitor order status and payments.
• Compile and organise material lists received from site teams and ensure accurate documentation.
• Maintain strong supplier relationships to guarantee reliability, quality and timely delivery.
• Coordinate with inventory and site teams to keep optimal stock levels and avoid project delays.
• Track procurement costs, ensuring activities stay within approved budgets.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, maintain proper records and generate regular reports.

Required profile

• Proven experience in construction procurement or a similar purchasing function.
• Strong understanding of material planning, supplier evaluation and contract negotiation.
• Ability to work collaboratively with site, inventory and finance teams.
• Attention to detail and strong organisational skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with procurement software or ERP systems.
