Procurement Manager – Electrical (Power Transmission/Distribution)

About the role

The Procurement Manager – Electrical will lead all procurement activities for power transmission and distribution projects in the UAE. You will be responsible for sourcing, evaluating and negotiating with suppliers of electrical equipment to ensure timely delivery and cost‑effective solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Review BOQ, drawings, specifications and project scope to define procurement requirements.
• Prepare procurement plans aligned with project schedules and material needs.
• Source and evaluate suppliers for HT/LT cables, transformers, RMUs, switchgears, panels, poles, towers and earthing materials.
• Prepare RFQs, compare quotations and negotiate prices, payment terms and delivery schedules.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Project, Planning, QS, Commercial, Finance and Stores teams.
• Monitor material production, inspections, deliveries and site requirements.
• Maintain approved supplier database and assess supplier performance.
• Control procurement costs and identify cost‑saving opportunities.

Required profile

• 12–16 years of procurement experience in UAE power transmission/distribution projects.
• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Procurement, Supply Chain or a related field.

Required skills

• Procurement of HT/LT cables, transformers, switchgears and related electrical equipment.
• Supplier evaluation, cost control and negotiation of commercial terms.
