Procurement Specialist – Outsourced Contract until Apr 2027

About the role

The Procurement Specialist will lead end‑to‑end sourcing activities for Roche in the assigned region. You will translate business needs into actionable procurement actions, ensuring efficient delivery of services, strong supplier relationships and continuous improvement of processes.

Key responsibilities

• Execute sourcing requests, applying RfI, RfQ and RfP processes and e‑sourcing tools.
• Analyze end‑user requirements and identify the best value‑driving methods.
• Maintain the preferred vendor database and manage supplier relationships.
• Collaborate with business partners and the requisition‑to‑pay (R2P) team to ensure smooth operations.
• Support the development and rollout of new procurement policies, processes and technologies.
• Document procurement activities for audit purposes and submit operational buying data.
• Monitor procurement KPIs, track metrics and address issues with stakeholders.
• Assist initiatives on supplier due diligence, diversity, anti‑bribery and other ethical standards.

Required profile

• University degree in a business‑related field; postgraduate qualifications or professional certifications in purchasing/finance are a plus.
• 3–5 years of experience in a procurement role with solid understanding of legal contracts and purchasing risks.
• Strong communication skills and ability to translate business needs into procurement specifications.
• Proven knowledge of sourcing methodologies, negotiation strategies and supplier management.
