Procurement Specialist (UAE National)

About the role

EDGE Group is seeking a Procurement Specialist to manage local and international purchasing of technical items. The role ensures high‑quality materials and services are obtained efficiently, supporting the UAE’s defence and industrial sectors while enhancing national supply‑chain resilience.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end procurement processes, including requisitions, purchase orders, contracts, ERP updates and record maintenance in line with company and ISO standards.
• Source, evaluate and negotiate with suppliers worldwide to achieve optimal quality, cost, delivery and service terms.
• Prepare and review procurement documentation such as contracts, NDAs and supplier correspondence, ensuring compliance with policies and risk guidelines.
• Coordinate with internal teams, logistics providers and inspection units to guarantee timely delivery, product qualification and project fulfillment.
• Develop and sustain strong supplier relationships, monitor performance, resolve quality or delivery issues and pursue long‑term strategic partnerships.
• Track contract performance, payment schedules and audit documentation, providing accurate reporting and administration.
• Drive continuous improvement in procurement processes, uphold ethics and governance, and ensure OSH compliance in all activities.

Required profile

• UAE national or candidate eligible for Emirati talent programmes.
• Proven experience in procurement or purchasing of technical goods, preferably in an industrial or defence environment.
• Strong understanding of contract management, supplier evaluation and compliance requirements.
