Product Owner – SME Mobile & Online Banking

About the role

Mashreq is seeking a Product Owner to lead its SME digital banking channels across Mobile Banking (MOB) and Online Banking (MOL) in the UAE, Egypt and Pakistan. The role owns the end‑to‑end product lifecycle, from strategy and roadmap through delivery, launch and ongoing optimisation, ensuring a best‑in‑class digital experience for SME customers.

Key responsibilities

• Define and maintain product vision, roadmap and quarterly priorities, translating customer needs, market opportunities and regulatory requirements into actionable initiatives.
• Lead agile delivery across squads, managing backlogs, sprint planning, dependencies and release coordination while ensuring high‑quality product outcomes.
• Own operational performance of live services, monitor adoption, CSAT and NPS, and drive continuous improvement and incident response.
• Govern global SME digital channel standards, ensuring consistency of journeys, design patterns and reusable platform components across markets.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Technology, Engineering, Computer Science or related field; MBA or Master’s preferred.
• 8‑12+ years of experience in digital banking, product management or financial‑services technology, with a proven track record of owning digital products from concept to operation.
• Demonstrated ability to lead Agile squads and deliver complex digital solutions in a multi‑market environment.

Required skills

• Agile product management (Scrum, SAFe, PSPO/CSPO certifications).
• Backlog and roadmap management for mobile and online banking platforms.
• Digital banking domain expertise, including SME Mobile Banking and Online Banking.
• Experience with cross‑functional collaboration (Engineering, UX, Architecture, Compliance).
