Product Owner – Trading Platforms

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Product Owner to lead the development and continuous improvement of IC Markets' trader‑facing mobile and web platforms. The role focuses on delivering a seamless trading experience across Forex, CFDs and multi‑asset products, translating strategy into a clear roadmap and prioritized backlog.

Key responsibilities

• Own and manage the product roadmap and backlog for mobile and web trading platforms.
• Translate product strategy and client needs into epics, user stories, acceptance criteria and functional requirements.
• Drive development of core trading capabilities such as market watch, charts, order placement, execution, stop‑loss/take‑profit, pricing, account information and notifications.
• Collaborate with Engineering, QA, UX/UI, Compliance and other product teams throughout the full development lifecycle.
• Lead backlog refinement, prioritisation and ensure requirements are ready for development.
• Manage integrations with trading infrastructure, CRM, back‑office, payments, KYC/on‑boarding and reporting systems.
• Conduct market and competitor analysis, analyse platform usage and define product KPIs.
• Participate in UAT, release readiness and production validation of new features.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Computer Science, Information Systems or related field.
• 3+ years of experience as a Product Owner or Product Manager in Forex, CFD or fintech environments.
• Strong practical understanding of Forex and CFD trading, market instruments and trader behaviour.
• Experience working with mobile and web trading platforms and complex product backlogs.

Required skills

• Hands‑on knowledge of trading platforms such as MT4, MT5, DxTrade, cTrader and ICTrade.
• Experience with APIs and system integrations.
• Proficiency in Jira and Confluence for backlog and documentation management.
• Use of AI and LLM‑based tools for research and documentation (where appropriate).
