Product Owner - Web Apps

About the role

Etihad Airways is looking for a Product Owner for its web applications in Abu Dhabi. The role delivers customer-facing digital experiences across the website and digital products, turning product strategy and customer needs into a prioritized backlog. It covers key journeys such as booking, managing bookings, check-in, ancillaries, servicing and customer accounts, and coordinates business, UX, engineering, architecture and analytics teams.

Key responsibilities

• Own and prioritize the backlog against strategy and roadmap, defining features, user stories, functional requirements and acceptance criteria.
• Align priorities, KPIs and outcomes with Product Managers.
• Lead refinement, take part in PI Planning and Scrum ceremonies, and partner with UX, engineering, architecture and business on scalable experiences.
• Deliver end-to-end website and airline digital journeys, clarifying requirements and priorities as the delivery team's product contact.
• Accept functionality against requirements and Definition of Done, support UAT, and manage dependencies, risks and cross-team impacts.
• Use feedback, analytics and operational insights to optimize journeys, ensure consistency across channels, support releases, monitor performance and prioritize defects and improvements.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computing, Engineering, Information Systems, Business, Digital or a related field.
• 5+ years' relevant experience, including 3+ in Product Owner, Digital Product or similar roles.
• Proven delivery of large-scale transactional websites or e-commerce journeys.
• Airline, aviation, travel, hospitality or loyalty experience strongly preferred.
• CSPO, PSPO or SAFe PO/PM certification advantageous.

Required skills

• Strong backlog, user story, acceptance criteria and value-based prioritization skills.
• Understanding of APIs, web platforms, CMS, analytics and third-party integrations.
• Hands-on experience with Jira, Confluence, SAFe and Scrum.
