Production Coordinator (Luxury Retail/Fit-outs)

About the role
Made Retail is seeking an organised, detail‑driven Production Coordinator to join the team in Dubai. The role involves planning and delivering high‑end production work for luxury retail stores, pop‑ups, shop‑in‑shops, duty‑free counters, window displays, exhibitions and bespoke fit‑out projects across the GCC, working closely with project managers and the metal, paint, carpentry and acrylic departments.
Key responsibilities
- Coordinate and monitor daily workshop activity to ensure jobs are completed on time and to specification.
- Assist Production Managers in planning schedules and allocating resources across multiple live projects.
- Collaborate with designers, project managers, suppliers and subcontractors to keep workflow smooth and materials available.
- Manage the procurement cycle from quotations to purchase orders and supplier follow‑up.
- Maintain accurate production records, including material lists, fabrication drawings, job orders and delivery schedules.
- Conduct quality checks during production and before dispatch to verify compliance with approved designs and brand standards.
- Track stock levels and material usage, flagging requirements early to prevent shortages.
- Support logistics and installation planning to ensure timely delivery, installation and hand‑over.
- Raise production issues promptly and propose practical solutions.
- Suggest process improvements to increase productivity and strengthen quality control.
Required profile
- Proven experience as a Production Coordinator, Production Assistant or similar role in interior fit‑out, joinery, events or luxury retail production.
- Solid understanding of production workflows, materials (wood, metal, acrylic, finishes) and fabrication methods.
- Strong organisational and multitasking abilities with a sharp eye for detail.
- Clear, confident communication with suppliers, subcontractors and internal teams.
- Ability to stay calm and effective under pressure in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment.
- Knowledge of UAE suppliers, workshops and production standards is a strong advantage.
- Bachelor’s degree in Production Management, Industrial Design, Interior Design, Engineering or related field (or substantial hands‑on experience in lieu of a formal degree).
Required skills
- AutoCAD 2D – reading, checking and marking up shop and fabrication drawings.
- Proficiency in navigating and interpreting 3D models in SketchUp or 3ds Max.
- Microsoft Excel for production tracking and reporting.
