Production Manager – Shipbuilding & Marine Yard

About the role

The Yard Manager is a full‑time, on‑site leadership position responsible for the safe, efficient and commercially disciplined operation of the entire shipbuilding facility in Abu Dhabi.

Key responsibilities

• Take overall responsibility for day‑to‑day operations and performance of the yard, including vessels, docks, berths and workshops.
• Lead integrated planning of manpower, equipment, utilities and yard capacity and coordinate with Production, Projects, HSE, Quality, Engineering and Maintenance.
• Ensure safe planning and control of docking, undocking and high‑risk vessel movements.
• Chair daily and weekly operational reviews covering safety, quality, schedules and resource constraints.
• Monitor project delivery, productivity, overtime, subcontractor performance and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain readiness of critical assets such as cranes, pumps, firefighting systems and ensure compliance with HSE, environmental and security requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Marine, Mechanical Engineering, Naval Architecture or a related discipline; Master’s degree advantageous.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in shipyard, dry‑dock or marine construction, including senior operational leadership.
• Proven track record managing multi‑vessel operations, large workforces and high‑risk activities.
• Strong understanding of docking operations, ship‑repair production, HSE, quality and cost control.
