Production Supervisor

About the role

The Production Supervisor leads the shift production team at Emirates Steel Industries, ensuring safe plant operations while meeting production and HSE targets. The role requires close coordination with maintenance and a focus on continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Operate the plant safely according to SOPs and work instructions.
• Implement daily operating instructions to achieve departmental targets.
• Provide guidance and troubleshooting to minimise delays.
• Assist in developing SOPs, JSA, and quality systems.
• Identify training needs and nominate team members for skill development.
• Promote teamwork and motivation to meet production goals.
• Take corrective actions to reduce waste.
• Conduct HSE awareness sessions and safety meetings.
• Coordinate with maintenance for timely job reporting and completion.
• Issue permits to work after risk analysis.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical or Metallurgy Engineering or a technical diploma in the same fields.
• Minimum 4 years of experience for degree holders or 10 years for diploma holders.
• At least 3 years of experience as a shift production supervisor.
• Experience with Tennova HYL DRI plant operations is preferred.
• Fluent in English.
