Production Supervisor

About the role

EDGE is a defence and emerging technologies group headquartered in the UAE, and POWERTECH is its centre of excellence for propulsion technologies, designing and manufacturing combustion, turbojet and turbofan engines for aerospace, defence and autonomous applications. The Production Supervisor leads all production activities during the assigned shift, manages Production Assemblers and owns shift performance, aiming to meet operational KPIs while keeping quality, safety and compliance at the highest standard.

Key responsibilities

• Lead Production Assemblers to meet daily production targets in a safe, positive environment
• Coordinate daily production activities and prioritise resources to meet delivery, quality and efficiency targets
• Lead shift start-up meetings, performance reviews and operational communications
• Ensure accurate production reporting, shift handovers and communication of critical information between shifts
• Own shift performance and be accountable for operational KPIs
• Improve First Pass Yield (FPY/FYP) by promoting quality-focused behaviours
• Follow approved manufacturing processes, work instructions, quality standards and procedures
• Champion Lean Thinking, identify waste and propose continuous improvement actions
• Promote accountability, teamwork, problem-solving and continuous improvement
• Address process deviations immediately, escalate risks and implement containment actions
• Maintain compliance with safety policies, quality requirements and regulatory standards

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or technical diploma in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial or Production Engineering or a related field
• Minimum 3 years of experience in manufacturing, assembly or production operations leadership
• Ability to lead teams in a fast-paced environment and manage priorities under pressure
• English proficiency required

Required skills

• Preferred: proficiency in SAP systems and production reporting tools
• Preferred: OTD, FPY/FYP, cycle time achievement, Lean improvement, process adherence, safety performance
