Program Director – Power & Water Transmission

About the role

The Program Director will lead the delivery of the Taqa‑Nexus power and water transmission programme for KBR’s Sustainable Technology Solutions group in Abu Dhabi. This senior position oversees planning, scheduling, budgeting and coordination of multiple engineering, procurement and construction partners.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute the overall programme plan, ensuring alignment with client objectives and regulatory requirements.
• Manage engineering, procurement and construction activities across grid stations, substations, STATCOM, overhead lines and related infrastructure.
• Prepare and present monthly, quarterly and annual progress reports to stakeholders.
• Coordinate with supervision consultants, EPC contractors, vendors and UAE authorities.
• Control programme budget, schedule and resources, identifying and mitigating risks.
• Lead cross‑functional teams and resolve conflicts to maintain project momentum.

Required profile

• Master’s degree preferred (or Bachelor’s) in engineering or a related discipline.
• 20+ years of experience managing large‑scale power and water transmission programmes.
• Proven PMC experience in similar senior roles.
• Exceptional leadership, communication and decision‑making abilities.
• Fluent English; Arabic is an advantage.
