The role builds the organisation's thought leadership and impact in strengthening the MSME sector in the GCC region, focusing on long-term resilience of MSMEs, especially in supply chains, through corporate governance, transparency, disclosure and innovation. It also covers business development, revenue generation and fundraising, and ensures high-impact, compliant delivery of projects and contracts.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead the design, development and execution of the governance in MSMEs programme, collaborating with experts, consultants and partners, and co-create a communications strategy including social media and email campaigns.
  • Develop a business development and market engagement strategy, manage an annual engagement calendar, define funding targets, explore new revenue streams and lead community-building events such as workshops, convenings and online forums.
  • Write proposals for funders and partners, negotiate funding agreements and partnership contracts, and run projects on research, executive education, capacity building and convenings with clear scope, plans, tracking and reporting.
  • Manage programme teams and in-sourced third parties, control costs and resources, and keep clients, partners and stakeholders informed.
  • Produce a pipeline of original bilingual content (op-eds, articles, white papers, research reports, position papers), engage on social media, and build relationships with journalists and analysts.
  • Mentor and develop the programme team, provide performance feedback and foster an inclusive, collaborative environment.
  • Co-define impact metrics and KPIs, run surveys and feedback collection, analyse results, prepare impact reports and contribute to the annual report.
  • Use tools and technology to improve productivity, attend training on project management, impact management, storytelling and writing.

Required profile

  • A master's degree in a relevant field such as Business Administration or a related discipline, with proven expertise and strong analytical skills.
  • Additional certifications in project management and corporate governance (the text is cut off).
  • A strategic, detail-oriented and relationship-driven leader able to design and implement high-impact programming.
