Project Accountant

About the role

We are looking for a Project Accountant to manage the financial operations of security systems and managed services projects across the UAE. The role ensures accurate reporting, cost control, and compliance with IFRS and UAE VAT regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain financial control over security systems and managed services projects, including budgeting, cost tracking, and forecasting.
• Monitor project costs, commitments, variations, and margins to ensure profitability.
• Prepare monthly project financial reports, variance analysis, and management dashboards.
• Coordinate with Project Managers on cost control, revenue recognition, and project performance.
• Manage project billing, including progress invoices, AMC billing, variations, and final accounts.
• Track contract values, change orders, and ensure accurate revenue recognition in line with IFRS.
• Monitor cash flow, aging, and follow up on receivables related to projects and service contracts.
• Support month‑end and year‑end closing activities and ensure compliance with company policies, internal controls, and UAE VAT regulations.
• Assist internal and external audits by providing project financial documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• 3–6 years of experience as a Project Accountant in security systems, engineering services, MEP, ELV, ICT or managed services environments.
• Professional certification such as ACCA, CPA or CMA is an advantage.
• Strong analytical, communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects in a fast‑paced environment.
