Project Controls Engineer – WEP Pipeline Project

About the role

Archirodon, an international EPC contractor active for more than half a century, is looking for an experienced Project Controls Engineer to join its team of engineers working on the West to East Pipeline (WEP) project in the UAE. The role covers controls, procurement, subcontracting, claims and cost monitoring.

Key responsibilities

• Draft project-specific Project Controls Procedures according to contract requirements.
• Prepare project internal and external reports in the required format.
• Maintain deliverable lists, procurement packages, the Procurement Status Register, the Subcontractors Register and the Engineering Deliverables Status Register.
• Assist in drafting subcontract agreements, negotiate subcontract prices and handle subcontract administration, measurements, payment certification and final accounts.
• Maintain a list of project materials with quantities and reconcile them continuously.
• Keep project records and diaries, including photos, daily activities, weather, resources used and idle, and site instructions.
• Monitor the scope of work and variations, maintain Variations and Claims Registers, collect evidence and prepare variation and claim submissions.
• Collaborate with quantity surveyors on monthly payment requests, assist with budgets and estimates, and help set up project cost centers.

Required profile

• University degree in Engineering.
• 5 years of relevant experience in the construction industry at a similar level.
• Experience on EPC projects with ADNOC (or equivalent) is essential.
• Ability to perform under stress, good communication with the project team, strong organization and an operational mindset.
• Fluent English.

Required skills

• Cost estimation, cost control, planning, risk management and contractual knowledge.
• Awareness of engineering, procurement, construction, pre-commissioning and commissioning.
• Knowledge of project management tools and basic financial concepts.
