Project Director – Infrastructure

About the role

Project Director – Infrastructure Works is responsible for the overall leadership, management and successful delivery of major infrastructure projects from planning and mobilization through construction, testing, commissioning and handover. The position provides strategic and operational leadership across civil, infrastructure, roads, bridges, drainage, utilities, earthworks, ground improvement, piling, shoring, marine and associated infrastructure works.

Key responsibilities

• Take overall responsibility for the successful delivery of assigned infrastructure projects, establishing execution strategies, objectives and delivery plans.
• Lead the project management team, coordinate engineering, construction, commercial, procurement, QA/QC and HSE functions, and monitor performance against budget, programme, quality and safety requirements.
• Oversee project mobilization, construction execution, demobilisation and hand‑over, ensuring effective coordination among multidisciplinary teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in civil or construction engineering; professional project or construction management qualifications (PMP, APM, Chartered Engineer) are desirable.
• 20+ years of experience in civil/infrastructure construction, with at least 8–10 years in senior management or project leadership roles, preferably on large UAE/GCC infrastructure projects.
