Project Director – Major Infrastructure (Dubai)

About the role

An established international engineering and construction organisation is seeking an experienced Project Director to lead the delivery of major infrastructure projects in Dubai. This senior leadership position requires a strong main‑contracting background, extensive experience delivering complex infrastructure projects, and a proven track record within the UAE.

Key responsibilities

• Provide overall leadership and direction for major infrastructure projects from mobilisation through to completion.
• Take full responsibility for project delivery, programme, commercial performance, quality, health & safety and client relationships.
• Lead and manage large multidisciplinary project teams and senior management functions.
• Oversee the delivery of complex tunnelling and underground infrastructure works.
• Drive project performance against agreed budgets, programmes and contractual requirements.
• Identify and manage commercial, contractual, technical and operational risks.

Required profile

• Extensive experience working for a main contractor or major construction contractor.
• Significant experience delivering large‑scale infrastructure projects, especially tunnelling.
• Previous UAE experience with strong understanding of the local construction and infrastructure market.
• Proven ability to manage major projects with high contract values and large multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong commercial, contractual and stakeholder‑management capability.
• Relevant degree in Civil Engineering, Construction, Infrastructure or a related discipline.
