Project Engineer – Pump Packages

About the role

Lead the execution of complex pump package projects for the NOV Production and Midstream Technology portfolio, ensuring delivery against scope, schedule, budget and quality standards while meeting customer expectations.

Key responsibilities

• Manage pump package projects from award through engineering, procurement, fabrication, testing, shipment, commissioning support and close‑out.
• Coordinate cross‑functional teams and external vendors, maintaining MS Project schedules, risk registers and change logs.
• Monitor progress, cost exposure and milestones, taking corrective action to protect plans and budgets.
• Lead technical meetings, review drawings and vendor documents, and ensure compliance with international standards such as API 674/676, ASME and ATEX.
• Support proposals, provide technical input and oversee project hand‑over to operations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation or Process Engineering with at least 8 years of project engineering experience.
• Proven track record delivering pump, reciprocating, PCP and centrifugal package projects in the oil & gas sector.
• Strong customer focus, commercial awareness and ability to influence cross‑functional stakeholders.

Required skills

• Pumps, diesel/gas engines, motors, gearboxes, couplings, belt drives, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Instrumentation, control panels, VFD, PLC, soft starters and package automation concepts.
• Knowledge of API 674, API 676, ATEX, ANSI, ASME piping, flanges and fittings.
• Proficiency with MS Project, Microsoft Office and project reporting tools.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD, 3D solid modelling and ERP systems (JDE, SAP, Oracle, CRM).
