Project Lead – Projects (EPC & Non‑EPC)

About the role

The Project Lead – Projects supports the Director of Project Engineering in planning, coordinating and delivering EPC and non‑EPC projects for Emirates Steel. The role ensures projects are executed safely, on schedule, within budget and in line with engineering standards and strategic goals.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare project plans, schedules, budgets and cash‑flow forecasts in collaboration with relevant departments.
• Develop business cases, feasibility studies and sensitivity analyses for new projects.
• Oversee day‑to‑day project execution, monitor progress, identify deviations and recommend corrective actions.
• Ensure all project documentation, communication and reporting comply with the Integrated Management System.
• Assist in preparing technical specifications, invitations to tender and evaluating techno‑commercial bids.
• Coordinate with technology suppliers, engineering consultants and contractors to align with engineering standards.
• Support the creation of basic engineering packages, site layouts and process route assessments.
• Maintain compliance with safety, quality, health, environmental policies and relevant regulations.
• Conduct site visits, support safety and behavioural audits, and manage stakeholder and vendor communications.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil Engineering or a related field.
• At least 10 years of experience in project engineering, project coordination or EPC project delivery.
