Project Manager – Client Side

About the role

Sterling Project Management Consultancy is expanding its Abu Dhabi delivery team for a multi‑tower residential programme on Al Reem Island. Reporting to the Senior Project Director, you will act as the Employer’s Representative, safeguarding the client’s commercial and programme interests from concept through handover.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day delivery of live residential projects, overseeing main contractor and consultant performance.
• Chair progress meetings, issue minutes and drive actions to closure.
• Review contractor programmes, progress claims, variations and EOT submissions with planning and commercial teams.
• Issue formal contractual correspondence under FIDIC and advise the client on entitlement and risk.
• Monitor quality, HSE and workmanship on site, and manage snagging and handover processes.
• Coordinate authority approvals and NOCs with Abu Dhabi authorities (ADM, ADDC, Civil Defence, Estidama).
• Produce weekly and monthly client reports, including dashboards, risk registers and escalation of critical issues.

Required profile

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management or a related field.
• 8 + years of delivery experience, with at least 5 years in the UAE.
• Proven experience on high‑rise residential or mixed‑use projects.
• Working knowledge of FIDIC contracts and ability to draft contractual correspondence.
• Familiarity with Abu Dhabi authority processes.
• Prior client‑side or PMC experience is a strong advantage.
• UAE driving licence and willingness to be based in Abu Dhabi.
