Propulsion Manager

About the role

The Propulsion Manager will lead the technical and commercial management of the airline’s engine and APU portfolio. This role ensures power‑plant reliability, regulatory compliance, and cost‑effective maintenance for a large A320 family fleet.

Key responsibilities

• Manage technical performance of A320 family aircraft equipped with CFM56 and LEAP engines.
• Maintain sufficient engine and APU spares to avoid AOG events.
• Oversee all engine and APU shop visits, including redelivery, ensuring contractual compliance and cost control.
• Liaise with OEMs to develop solutions for in‑service issues and close advisories and CNRs on time.
• Review technical publications (ADs, SBs, SLs) and define compliance strategies.
• Validate shop visit invoices and lead budget planning for power‑plant maintenance.
• Coordinate with CAMO, MCC, Planning, QA, Operations and other stakeholders to improve maintenance programs.
• Drive initiatives to reduce engineering delays, MEL items and PIREPs, enhancing fleet reliability.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Aeronautical or related engineering.
• Minimum 15 years aviation experience, including at least 5 years in managerial roles.
• Extensive experience with CFM56 and LEAP engines and airline power‑plant management.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and cost‑control capabilities.
• In‑depth knowledge of CAMO and regulatory frameworks (GCAA preferred).
