Psychology Instructor – Teaching & Research

About the role

The Psychology Instructor will deliver high‑quality teaching in psychology and mental‑health courses to students in health‑sciences programmes. The role combines classroom instruction, academic advising, research mentorship and participation in curriculum development to prepare future healthcare professionals.

Key responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate and graduate psychology and mental‑health courses in line with approved curricula and accreditation standards.
• Design and deliver engaging lectures, tutorials, assessments and learning activities, using innovative teaching methods and educational technologies.
• Assess student performance, maintain accurate academic records and provide timely feedback and mentorship.
• Conduct and contribute to research in psychology, mental health, healthcare education or related fields; supervise student research projects.
• Present and publish scholarly work at conferences and in academic journals.
• Participate in curriculum development, quality‑assurance and accreditation activities.
• Serve on departmental and college committees and promote mental‑health awareness within the college community.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Program Coordinator or Dean.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Psychology, Clinical Psychology, Counseling Psychology, Mental Health or a related field (PhD preferred).
• Minimum three years of teaching experience in higher education (preferred).
• Demonstrated experience in research and scholarly activities.
• Strong knowledge of psychological theories, mental‑health practices and their application in healthcare settings.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational abilities.
