Psychology Teacher (August start)

About the role

Dubai American Academy, the flagship American school of GEMS Education, is seeking passionate Psychology teachers to join its faculty from August 2026. The school offers a world‑class education from PreK to Grade 12, including the IB Diploma Programme, and is recognised for its outstanding KHDA rating and international community.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver engaging Psychology lessons that align with the school curriculum and IB standards.
• Design and implement inquiry‑based learning activities that develop critical thinking.
• Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of high‑school learners.
• Collaborate with colleagues to maintain a supportive and inclusive classroom environment.
• Participate in parent‑teacher conferences and communicate student progress effectively.

Required profile

• A Bachelor of Education degree or an initial degree plus a recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, PGDE or equivalent) with a specialism in Psychology.
• Proven experience teaching high‑school Psychology.
• Commitment to fostering curiosity and academic achievement.

• Knowledge of inquiry‑based learning methodologies.
