Public Area Attendant – Hotel Housekeeping

About the role

Join the Housekeeping team at InterContinental Abu Dhabi as a Public Area Attendant. You will be responsible for keeping the hotel’s public spaces clean, welcoming and aligned with IHG’s high standards of hospitality.

Key responsibilities

• Clean and maintain lobby, corridors, elevators, staircases, guest restrooms, entrances and other shared areas.
• Dust, vacuum, mop, polish and clean surfaces, furniture, fixtures, glass and floors as required.
• Check public restrooms regularly, ensure hygiene, presentation and full stock of supplies.
• Respond promptly to spills, cleaning requests and any situation affecting guest comfort or safety.
• Maintain housekeeping equipment, trolleys, storage areas and supplies in an organized manner.
• Identify and report maintenance issues, damages or safety concerns to the supervisor.
• Assist guests with basic enquiries in a courteous and professional manner.
• Coordinate with Housekeeping, Front Office, Engineering, Security and other departments to uphold hotel standards.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Public Area Attendant, Housekeeping Attendant, Cleaner or similar role, preferably in a hotel or hospitality environment.
• Attention to detail, strong service orientation and ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment.
• Good communication skills and a professional appearance.
