Public Area Attendant

About the role

The Public Area Attendant ensures the cleanliness and presentation of the hotel’s public spaces, including the lobby, corridors, lifts, and restrooms, following Accor’s standards.

Key responsibilities

• Report for duty on time in proper uniform and sign the attendance sheet.
• Receive work assignments and keys, maintaining responsibility for key custody.
• Clean the lobby, dust and mop floors, dust furniture, wipe tables, polish brass, clean ashtrays, dispose of garbage, and maintain heart‑of‑house areas to set standards.
• Spot‑vacuum carpet in restaurant and public areas according to schedule.
• Dust walls, counters, telephones and fixtures.
• Clean guest lifts, brass, mirrors, walls and carpets periodically.
• Keep the storeroom clean and tidy; ensure cleaning equipment is clean, well‑maintained and properly stored.
• Report any repairs, maintenance needs, or broken items to the Supervisor immediately.
• Deposit lost‑and‑found articles in the Housekeeping office promptly.
• Service public toilets when assigned and adhere to safety regulations.
• Pick up litter from corridors and pathways and empty waste bins in assigned areas.
• Participate in continuous training programs and assist with emergency procedures as requested.

Required profile

• Minimum of 1 year experience in a 4‑5 star hotel.
• Available to join immediately.
