Purchase Executive - Automotive Spare Parts

About the role

The Purchase Executive sources, negotiates and procures automotive spare parts, tyres, batteries, lubricants, workshop consumables and maintenance-related services needed by the Car Rental Group's workshops. The role keeps parts available on time while keeping costs efficient, quality high and supplier performance strong.

Key responsibilities

• Sourcing and procurement of spare parts, tyres, batteries, lubricants, consumables and maintenance services
• Evaluating supplier quotations for competitive pricing and value, and identifying alternative suppliers and products
• Negotiating prices, delivery schedules, payment terms and commercial conditions
• Issuing purchase orders and monitoring them through to delivery
• Coordinating with workshops and fleet maintenance teams, verifying part numbers, specifications and compatibility before buying
• Maintaining records of frequently used parts and recommended supplier lists
• Managing relationships with OEMs, authorised dealers and aftermarket suppliers, monitoring their performance and resolving supply issues and warranty claims
• Ensuring compliance with company policies, analysing spending trends, supporting contract negotiations and annual rate agreements, and keeping accurate procurement records

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Business, Supply Chain, Mechanical or Automotive Engineering or a related field
• At least 3-5 years of experience in automotive spare parts procurement
• Experience in car rental, fleet management, automotive dealership, workshop or transportation preferred
• Strong knowledge of automotive spare parts sourcing and supplier networks in the UAE
• Professional procurement certification is an advantage
