Purchaser I – Industrial Materials & Services

About the role

The Purchaser supports tactical procurement of materials, components, equipment and services in line with company policies. This entry‑level position manages purchase requisition lifecycles, ensures timely order placement and maintains accurate ERP data. Based on‑site at the KEZAD Free Zone facility, the role works closely with Engineering, Planning and Quality teams.

Key responsibilities

• Execute daily purchase requisition to purchase order workflows for mechanical, electrical and fabricated parts based on Bills of Materials.
• Monitor purchase order confirmations, track supplier delivery schedules and keep ERP data accurate.
• Support sourcing of non‑standard components and low‑complexity engineering changes.
• Communicate proactively with suppliers to resolve order, invoice or delivery issues and prevent production bottlenecks.
• Collaborate with Production Planners, Engineers, Quality Assurance and Receiving teams to verify specifications, address non‑conformances and ensure timely material flow.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering or a related field.
• 0–2 years of experience in purchasing, procurement or supply‑chain administration; internships or co‑ops are welcomed.
• Manufacturing or industrial environment experience preferred.
• Willingness to travel up to 10% for supplier visits or training.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Basic understanding of Bills of Materials (BOM) and material flow.
