Purchasing Officer

About the role

We are looking for a Purchasing Officer to manage the procurement of materials required for production and other departments, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with production schedules.

Key responsibilities

• Review purchasing requirements for accuracy, terminology and specifications.
• Generate and place purchase orders with vendors.
• Coordinate with vendors to ensure accurate and on‑time delivery, tracking shipments until arrival at port and updating the ERP system.
• Work with the Material Planner to evaluate inventory and determine purchase quantities.
• Maintain daily PO tracking reports and produce monthly purchase value and frequency reports.
• Source new suppliers and products, obtain quotations, and manage sample testing in collaboration with Engineering, R&D, QA/QC and suppliers.
• Analyze buying trends, forecast requirements and report on supplier lead times, change orders and price variances.
• Maintain the master vendor approval and price list.
• Follow up material discrepancy reports with QC and suppliers until resolution.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Knowledge of planning, purchasing and logistics policies and practices.
• Experience in the HVAC manufacturing sector is preferred.
• Strong negotiation and communication abilities.

Required skills

• Intermediate proficiency with MS Office.
• Experience using ERP software for procurement processes.
