QA QC Engineer

About the role

The QA/QC Engineer / Inspector will ensure that all repair and refurbishment works meet SUEZ's quality standards. Acting as the primary quality assurance interface between SUEZ and contractors, the role verifies compliance with method statements, Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), material specifications and contract requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Review and comment on ITPs submitted for repair methods such as CIPP relining, joint sealing, patch repairs, manhole rehabilitation and grouting.
• Conduct pre‑repair inspections to confirm correct zone identification, isolation and preparation.
• Witness and document ITP hold points, material deliveries, quality checks and post‑repair CCTV verification.
• Inspect completed repairs for conformance with approved method statements, material specifications and engineering drawings.
• Raise and track Non‑Conformance Reports (NCRs) until resolution and close‑out.
• Review contractor material submittals and method statements for valid third‑party certification.
• Maintain a comprehensive QA/QC records register, including ITP sign‑offs, material delivery records, inspection reports, NCRs and CCTV verification records.
• Provide QA/QC input to monthly progress reports, summarising inspection activities, pass/fail rates and outstanding NCRs.
• Liaise with the Quantity Surveyor to ensure only inspected works are accepted for payment.
