QA QC Engineer – Marine/Civil

About the role

The QA/QC Engineer will implement and monitor the approved Project Quality Plan, ITPs, Method Statements, and QA/QC procedures for marine construction works. The role involves inspection and quality control of pontoons, floating structures, jetties, walkways, pile foundations, and other marine access structures.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and monitor the Project Quality Plan, ITPs, Method Statements, and QA/QC procedures for marine construction.
• Inspect and control quality of pontoons, floating structures, jetties, walkways, pile foundations, and marine access structures.
• Monitor pile installation, alignment, verticality, driving records, integrity testing, and load testing per specifications.
• Inspect reinforcement, formwork, embedded items, concrete pouring, curing, and repair works for marine structures.
• Verify fabrication and installation of steel structures, handrails, brackets, connections, welding, bolting, and protective coating systems.
• Conduct inspections for walkway and jetty installation, including decking, supports, connections, levels, alignment, and finishing works.
• Coordinate and witness material inspections, laboratory tests, concrete cube tests, welding/NDT tests, and other quality tests.
• Raise, monitor, and close NCRs, observations, RFIs, inspection requests, and corrective/preventive actions with the construction team.
• Review material submittals, MTCs, test certificates, calibration certificates, inspection reports, and as‑built records for compliance.
• Collaborate with consultants, clients, subcontractors, surveyors, and site teams to ensure safe execution in line with drawings, specifications, and standards.

Required profile

• 3 to 5 years of relevant QA/QC experience in marine or civil construction.
• Valid driving licence with own vehicle.
• Relevant quality certification (ISO 9001).

Required skills

• Implementation of Project Quality Plans, ITPs, and Method Statements.
• Conducting material inspections and laboratory testing (concrete cube, welding/NDT).
• Monitoring pile installation and integrity testing.
• Inspection of reinforcement, formwork, concrete works, and curing processes.
• Verification of steel fabrication, protective coating systems, and welding quality.
