QA Tester

About the role

A detail-oriented QA Tester is sought to join a team in Dubai, ensuring the quality and reliability of software products before release. The role helps identify defects early, improve product stability and enhance the user experience. The position is on-site in the Dubai Emirate.

Key responsibilities

• Design, document and execute test cases based on business and technical requirements
• Perform functional, regression and exploratory testing of web and/or mobile applications
• Identify, log and track defects with bug tracking tools and verify fixes
• Collaborate with developers, product managers and business analysts to understand requirements
• Take part in sprint planning, stand-ups and release readiness reviews
• Develop and maintain test plans, test scripts and test data
• Support user acceptance testing (UAT) and provide clear defect reports

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field
• 2+ years of experience in software quality assurance or testing roles
• Experience testing web and/or mobile applications in an agile environment preferred
• ISTQB certification or equivalent QA certification preferred
• Ability to work in cross-functional, agile teams

Required skills

• Manual testing; familiarity with automation tools such as Selenium and Postman is a plus
• Proficiency with bug tracking and test management tools such as JIRA and TestRail
• Understanding of QA methodologies, SDLC and STLC processes
• Basic knowledge of SQL for data validation is an advantage
