QA/QC Civil Inspector

About the role

Gardinia Contracting, behind Azizi Developments, is looking for a QA/QC Civil Inspector. The inspector conducts site inspections and ensures civil construction activities follow approved drawings, project specifications, method statements, ITPs, applicable codes and quality standards. The company is involved in major projects such as Burj Azizi and the Azizi Venice master community.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct daily site inspections of civil and structural works against approved drawings and specifications.
• Inspect foundations, reinforcement and formwork, concrete works, blockwork, plastering, screeding, tiling and other civil and finishing works.
• Verify that works follow approved method statements and Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs).
• Inspect incoming materials and coordinate Material Inspection Requests (MIRs).
• Coordinate with consultants, main contractors, subcontractors and site engineers on inspections and approvals.
• Identify defective or non-conforming work and coordinate corrective actions.
• Maintain inspection reports, checklists, test reports and quality records, and review material certificates, lab test reports and third-party reports.
• Ensure approved materials are used and properly stored on site, and monitor workmanship.
• Assist QA/QC engineers in preparing quality reports and documentation, take part in internal quality audits and consultant inspections, and support project handover.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Civil Technology, Construction or a related discipline.
• 3-6 years of experience as a QA/QC Civil Inspector in construction or contracting.
• Strong site inspection experience in building or civil construction projects.
• UAE/GCC experience preferred; experience with main contractors, subcontractors and consultants highly desirable.
