QA/QC Coordinator – Abu Dhabi

About the role

Penspen, a leading global energy services company, is seeking a dynamic QA/QC Coordinator for its Abu Dhabi office. The successful candidate will ensure quality assurance and quality control across engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and start‑up activities, complying with client specifications, international standards, and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain the Project Quality Management System (QMS) in line with ISO 9001, client specifications, and project requirements.
• Review and monitor EPC contractor Quality Plans, Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), Method Statements, and QA/QC procedures.
• Ensure compliance with international codes and standards such as API, ASME, ASTM, AWS, ISO, IEC, and client‑specific requirements.
• Conduct quality audits, inspections, surveillance, and assessments during engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning phases.
• Review and close out Non‑Conformance Reports (NCRs), corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), and quality deviations.
• Coordinate vendor inspections, Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), Site Acceptance Tests (SAT), and material inspections.
• Monitor contractor and vendor quality performance, ensuring timely resolution of issues and continuous improvement.
• Participate in design reviews, constructability reviews, commissioning readiness reviews, and project quality meetings.
• Prepare quality reports, KPIs, audit findings, and management reports for clients and project leadership.
• Ensure compliance with project HSE, quality, and regulatory requirements throughout the project lifecycle.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or HND with a QA/QC certification from an internally recognised agency.
• 10+ years of engineering experience, preferably within the oil and gas industry.
• 4+ years supervising O&G project quality control activities.
• Solid background in multi‑discipline EPC projects, including FEED, detailed design, and execution phases.
• Strong knowledge of quality management systems, engineering practices, and international codes (API, ASME, ASTM, AWS, ISO, IEC).
• Experience with contractor quality surveillance, vendor inspections, FAT/SAT, NCR management, root‑cause analysis, and CAPA implementation.
• Experience in greenfield and brownfield terminal and facilities upgrade projects.
• Preferred GCC/Middle East oil & gas project experience.
