QA/QC Documentation Specialist – Steel & Oil Projects

About the role

The client seeks an experienced QA/QC Documentation professional to manage quality records for miter bend and fittings manufacturing projects in the steel and oil & gas sectors. The role ensures that all documentation is complete, traceable, and approved on time to avoid delays in production, inspection, and product release.

Key responsibilities

• Control and maintain QA/QC documentation for miter bend and fittings projects.
• Coordinate with QC Engineers, Production, Engineering, Planning, Client and TPIA to collect, review, and submit quality documents.
• Review documents for completeness, correct revision, signatures, inspection status and compliance with approved formats.
• Prepare and maintain registers (document, inspection, test, NCR, punch list) and submission trackers.
• Expedite Inspection Requests, inspection notifications and related documentation for Client/TPIA submission.
• Follow up on pending inspection reports, NDT reports, test certificates, calibration certificates and other required records.
• Compile and submit Manufacturing Record Books, Quality Dossiers and final data books.
• Maintain revision control, confidentiality and proper filing of both soft and hard‑copy records.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree; technical documentation experience preferred.
• 3–7 years of experience in QA/QC documentation, document control or oil & gas fabrication projects.
• Strong knowledge of quality records, inspection documentation, document registers and transmittals.
• Ability to read basic drawings, inspection reports, MTCs, NDT reports and project quality documentation.
• Excellent coordination, communication and follow‑up skills to ensure timely document submissions.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Experience using electronic document‑control systems.
