QA/QC Engineer – Repair & Refurbishment

About the role

The QA/QC Engineer/Inspector will act as the primary quality assurance interface between SUEZ and repair contractors, ensuring that all repair and refurbishment works meet SUEZ‑issued method statements, inspection and test plans, and material specifications.

Key responsibilities

• Review and comment on ITPs for repair methods such as CIPP relining, joint sealing, patch repairs, manhole rehabilitation and grouting.
• Conduct pre‑repair inspections to verify correct zone identification, isolation and preparation.
• Witness and document hold points, material deliveries, quality checks and post‑repair CCTV verification.
• Inspect completed repairs for conformance with method statements, specifications and engineering drawings.
• Raise and track Non‑Conformance Reports (NCRs) until resolution.
• Review contractor material submittals and method statements for valid third‑party certification.
• Maintain a comprehensive QA/QC records register, including ITP sign‑offs and inspection reports.
• Provide QA/QC input to monthly progress reports and liaise with the Quantity Surveyor to ensure only inspected works are paid.

Required profile

• Proven experience in QA/QC for infrastructure repair and refurbishment projects.
• Familiarity with Inspection and Test Plans, method statements, and material certification processes.
• Ability to conduct detailed inspections, document findings and manage NCRs.
• Strong coordination skills with contractors, technical teams and quantity surveyors.
