QA/QC Inspector – Rail

About the role

The QA/QC Inspector (Rail) will perform on‑site inspection and surveillance of civil works to ensure compliance with approved designs, specifications and quality standards. The role supports the delivery of rail infrastructure projects by verifying materials, workmanship and testing results, and by managing non‑conformances.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct daily inspections of earthworks, concrete works, structures, drainage and utility installations.
• Verify materials and workmanship against drawings, specifications, project standards and applicable codes.
• Attend and witness testing activities such as concrete cube testing, compaction/density testing and welding inspections, and confirm results meet acceptance criteria.
• Execute inspection and surveillance in line with approved Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) and method statements.
• Raise, track and close non‑conformance reports (NCRs) to ensure timely resolution.
• Complete inspection checklists and daily quality records, maintaining accurate documentation.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years (60 months) of experience in QA/QC inspection for rail or civil infrastructure projects.
• Proven ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications and codes.
• Strong understanding of inspection and surveillance procedures and quality management principles.
