QA/QC Mechanical Engineer (MEP) - High-Rise Projects

About the role

A leading MEP contractor in Dubai is looking for a QA/QC Mechanical Engineer with a strong track record on high-rise building projects. The engineer inspects, documents and verifies mechanical installations so they comply with project specifications, quality procedures and authority approvals. The position reports to the QA/QC Manager or Mechanical Project Lead, is full-time and on-site in Dubai.

Key responsibilities

• Perform QA/QC inspections of HVAC, plumbing, drainage and firefighting systems.
• Review method statements, material submittals and shop drawings, and check that site works match approved specifications.
• Generate and maintain Inspection Requests (IRs), Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and quality records.
• Coordinate with consultants, main contractors and internal teams for snag closure and final handover.
• Supervise pressure testing, flushing, chlorination and commissioning of mechanical systems.
• Take part in authority inspections (DCD, DM, DEWA) and ensure compliance.
• Track QA/QC documentation and help prepare handover files and O&M manuals.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (required).
• 5 years of dedicated QA/QC experience on MEP high-rise projects in Dubai or the wider UAE.
• At least 2 full-cycle mechanical MEP projects completed from start to handover.
• Familiarity with UAE authority procedures, codes and approval systems.
• Consistent employment history with reputable companies; UAE experience is mandatory, Dubai-based candidates preferred.
• Available to provide salary slips or a Statement of Account before the final interview.
