QC Engineer – Construction

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Quality Control Engineer to implement and maintain on‑site quality systems for construction projects. You will work closely with site management, subcontractors, suppliers and design teams to ensure that all works meet contractual, regulatory and company standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain quality plans, inspection‑test plans (ITPs), checklists and records in line with contract specifications.
• Carry out scheduled and ad‑hoc inspections of materials, workmanship and installations across all trades; record findings and issue non‑conformance reports (NCRs) as required.
• Plan and witness critical inspections and tests, ensuring hold points and audit evidence are retained.
• Coordinate material approvals, review supplier documentation and verify traceability before installation.
• Lead root‑cause analysis and corrective‑action (CAPA) processes for defects, monitor effectiveness and close actions promptly.
• Maintain clear, auditable quality documentation for reports, punch lists, progress reports and handover.
• Support site inductions, toolbox talks and continuous‑improvement initiatives.
• Assist with quality audits, client inspections and third‑party certifications, tracking corrective actions to closure.

Required profile

• 3–7 years of QC/QA experience on construction projects covering structural, MEP and finishing trades.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
• Formal quality qualification or training (e.g., NEBOSH, CQI/IRCA ISO 9001 lead auditor) is desirable.
• Strong knowledge of construction processes, inspections, materials testing, ISO 9001 and local building regulations.
• Excellent report writing, attention to detail and ability to work with multidisciplinary teams.
