QC Inspector – Electrical & Instrumentation

About the role

GCG Engineering Services is seeking a QC Inspector for Electrical & Instrumentation to ensure that all installation works meet the required quality standards on oil & gas, power and industrial projects across the GCC.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect installation of cable trays, conduits, LV/MV/Control/FO cables, lighting, earthing, panels, junction boxes, instruments and impulse tubing.
• Verify compliance with approved drawings, specifications, method statements and vendor data.
• Ensure work conforms to IEC, IEEE, NFPA, BS standards and project specifications.
• Witness and verify continuity, insulation resistance, megger, HV/LV cable testing, loop checking and functional testing.
• Witness FAT, SAT, calibration and pre‑commissioning activities where applicable.
• Validate use of approved and calibrated test equipment and certify test results.
• Review and raise Request for Inspection (RFI/IR) and ensure timely closure.
• Coordinate with construction teams, subcontractors, QA/QC engineers and client representatives.
• Participate in internal/external audits, site quality meetings and toolbox talks.
• Identify non‑conformances, raise NCRs and support corrective actions.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Instrumentation Engineering or related field.
• 3–7 years of QC experience on HVAC, oil & gas, petrochemical, refinery, LNG, power plant or EPC projects.
• Familiarity with QA/QC documentation, inspection procedures and turnover packages.
• Additional QA/QC certifications are preferred.
• Willingness to work in remote, offshore or desert locations.
