Quality Assurance / Quality Control Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a qualified Civil QA/QC Engineer to join our contracting team in Abu Dhabi. The role involves ensuring that all civil and structural works meet project specifications, international standards and local regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Review and implement the project‑specific QA/QC plan and procedures.
• Conduct inspections and tests on materials, workmanship and finished works.
• Verify compliance with approved drawings, specifications and applicable codes/standards.
• Coordinate with main contractors and subcontractors to close quality issues, NCRs and punch‑list items.
• Perform internal audits and support external audits as required.
• Ensure calibration and maintenance of testing and measuring equipment.
• Report quality performance and non‑conformances to the QA/QC Manager.
• Participate in site coordination and technical meetings and assist in preparing handover documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• 2‑5 years of experience in a QA/QC role within the construction industry.
• Knowledge of civil materials, construction methods and relevant codes.
• Certification in QA/QC (ISO 9001:2015, QMS Lead Auditor) is preferred.
