Quality Control Inspector – Heavy Vehicles

About the role

The Quality Control Inspector ensures that all equipment and component rebuilds and overhauls meet the highest quality and safety standards. Working on heavy vehicles and related spares, you will apply the company’s Quality Management System and support continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Perform critical compliance inspections during rebuild and overhaul operations.
• Execute the QMS, document findings, and prepare quality reports.
• Verify that maintenance and repair tasks follow job plans and that faults are corrected.
• Conduct spot checks on equipment, spares, electrical components, and diagnostic tools.
• Liaise with mechanics, supervisors, and customers to resolve quality issues.
• Classify items, determine serviceability, and process condemnations.
• Test suspected material deficiencies and produce Material Deficiency Reports.
• Support root‑cause analysis of customer rejects and warranty concerns.
• Coordinate verification of non‑OEM spares and manage non‑conforming inventory.

Required profile

• Technical degree or diploma relevant to inspection or quality control.
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Lean Practitioner certification preferred.
• Minimum 2 years experience with heavy vehicles, components, assemblies or failure analysis.
• At least 1 year in a senior technical role is advantageous.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and use measuring instruments.
• Knowledge of FMEA, ISO 9001, ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 standards.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with CMMS and SAP is a plus.
• Effective English communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Valid UAE driver’s licence or ability to obtain one; vehicle/forklift licence preferred.
