About the role
The Quality Engineer I will ensure that products, processes and services meet defined quality standards, customer requirements and regulatory obligations at POWERTECH, EDGE’s centre of excellence for propulsion technologies.
Key responsibilities
- Monitor compliance with internal quality management systems, customer, industry and regulatory requirements, and support internal and external audits.
- Develop and implement quality control plans, inspect products and processes, and report non‑conformities.
- Investigate product or process non‑conformities, perform root‑cause analysis using tools such as 5 Whys, Fishbone Diagram and Pareto Analysis, and lead corrective and preventive actions.
- Identify and drive continuous‑improvement initiatives, supporting Lean, Six Sigma and Kaizen programmes.
- Collect, analyse and report quality data, maintain dashboards and KPIs such as defect rates and process capability.
- Address customer quality concerns, support investigations and participate in quality reviews.
- Support supplier qualification, monitor supplier quality performance and manage supplier‑related corrective actions.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering or a related technical discipline.
- Professional certifications such as Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), Six Sigma Green/Black Belt or ISO 9001 Internal/Lead Auditor are desirable.
- Strong understanding of Quality Management Systems (QMS) and experience working within a structured QMS.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and quality reporting tools, and familiarity with statistical analysis and problem‑solving techniques.
