Quality Specialist – Fresh Produce & Perishables

About the role

Amazon Now is building a fresh‑grocery business in the UAE and needs a Quality Specialist to ensure meat, seafood, produce and other perishable items meet the company’s high quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect inbound meat, seafood, fruits, vegetables, eggs and other perishables at stores, hubs and vendor sites and reject damaged items.
• Audit picking and packing processes performed by LPC associates and monitor packaging standards.
• Record rejected items by SKU and vendor, produce daily and weekly quality reports for stakeholders.
• Train store and hub associates on quality SOPs and packaging requirements.
• Participate in process‑improvement initiatives and stakeholder meetings to reduce damage and expiry.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree and at least one year of experience in fresh produce or perishable categories.
• Strong interpersonal and execution skills, able to work under pressure and collaborate with internal teams.
• Flexible schedule including weekends, nights and holidays.

Required skills

• PIC Level 3 certification.
• HACCP certification.
• Knowledge of ISO 22000, GMP standards.
• Experience with audit and data handling/reporting.
• Understanding of packaging standards and process improvement.
