Quant Research Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Quant Research Engineer to own and evolve our core quantitative infrastructure. You will design, build, and maintain data pipelines, compute environments, and AI‑native services that power our research and trading activities.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement, and scale core quant pipelines, data infrastructure, and research/production compute platforms.
• Collaborate with quantitative researchers and development teams to integrate new components and embed AI capabilities such as LLM services and retrieval infrastructure.
• Own deployment, monitoring, and operational health of production and research systems, implementing observability, logging, and alerting frameworks.
• Drive infrastructure‑as‑code practices and automate workflows, leveraging AI‑assisted tools where they improve velocity and quality.

Required profile

• Top‑tier academic background from a globally top‑20 university; PhD‑level training in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or Statistics is preferred.
• Gold medal in a national or international olympiad (e.g., IMO, IOI, IPhO) strongly preferred.
• Prior experience at a leading quantitative trading firm or AI/technology company.
• Demonstrated passion for applying AI, especially building LLM‑powered tools for research or engineering workflows.
