Quantity Surveyor - Exhibitions & Events

About the role

Build Up is hiring a full-time Quantity Surveyor / Cost Estimator in Dubai for its exhibitions, events and experiential business. The QS reviews RFPs, client requirements and designs and turns them into accurate Bills of Quantities (BOQs) and commercial quotations, ensuring no missing scope or major discrepancies. The ideal candidate understands how exhibition stands and events are actually produced and built.

Key responsibilities

• Review and fully understand RFPs, tender documents and client requirements.
• Ensure all RFP requirements are accurately reflected in the BOQ and commercial quotation.
• Interpret designs, CAD drawings and specifications and convert them into detailed BOQs.
• Identify missing scope, discrepancies and unclear requirements between the RFP and design.
• Coordinate with Sales, Design and Operations teams to clarify project requirements.
• Prepare accurate cost estimates, budgets and competitive quotations, and submit them on time.
• Prepare internal budgets and manage project variations.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in quantity surveying or cost estimation, specifically in exhibition stands and events.
• Hands-on experience in exhibition stands and event production; experience in exhibition design & build, event production, experiential agencies, pavilion projects or major exhibition contractors is strongly preferred.
• UAE/GCC experience is required; Arabic is an added advantage.
• Turnkey fit-out experience is an advantage.
