Quantity Surveyor – Infrastructure

About the role

Khatib & Alami is looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join its Consultancy Supervision Team in Dubai. You will manage cost control, contract administration and commercial aspects of major infrastructure projects.

Key responsibilities

• Review contract documents, drawings, specifications, BOQs and tender documentation.
• Perform detailed measurement and verification of quantities for infrastructure works.
• Review contractor interim payment applications, prepare payment certificates and monitor project budgets.
• Evaluate variations, change orders, claims and additional works, and maintain accurate commercial records.
• Assist in cost forecasting, monthly commercial reporting and preparation of final accounts.
• Provide commercial and contractual advice to the Project Manager and supervision team.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related field.
• Minimum 10 years of overall Quantity Surveying experience, with at least 7 years in UAE infrastructure projects.
• Consultancy experience is mandatory; experience in roads, highways, utilities or drainage preferred.
• Strong knowledge of FIDIC contracts and UAE construction practices.
• Excellent communication, coordination, negotiation and analytical skills.
