Quantity Surveyor – Infrastructure Project

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join AECOM’s project team for a major infrastructure development in Abu Dhabi. The role involves managing project costs, evaluating contractor claims, and supporting commercial decisions throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and monitor project budgets, costs, and financial performance.
• Review interim payment applications, contractor claims and assess variations and change orders.
• Prepare and review Bills of Quantities, measurements and cost estimates.
• Monitor contractual and commercial matters in line with contract terms.
• Assess Extension of Time requests and associated cost implications.
• Maintain accurate records of costs, variations, payments and commercial correspondence.
• Support preparation of commercial reports and cost forecasts.
• Coordinate with client, consultant, contractor and internal teams on commercial issues.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering or related field.
• Strong experience on infrastructure and construction projects.
• Good knowledge of FIDIC contracts and construction contract administration.
• Proven expertise in variations, claims, payments and cost control.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and analytical abilities.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary project team.
